After making one of the biggest decisions of my life, I have decided, to skip college!
I am tired.
I tucked myself into the bed feeling happy and pampered. I was very sleepy but I couldn't fall asleep. So at 5.50am, I started reading Wikipedia pages again all the way until 9am when I went downstairs to have my breakfast.
The sleeping problems I am having recently are reaaaally bizarre. Early in the morning at 5 or 6 I would wake up by myself having strong urges to read Wikipedia pages, or play the hunting game Deer Hunter. Now that I have no social network at all I usually pamper myself by reading criminal profiles, celebrity profiles and films on Wikipedia. It became my only entertainment, since I have no one to text with, besides my mom. I find myself trying to speed up my studying so I can read Wikipedia pages online LOL.
This is unusual.
So....I've gotten myself 2 new books again :)
They were on sale and RM12 each only! :) Both high rated books, I hope they wont disappoint me :) Many people recommended me The Kite Runner, and it looks kinda interesting. Bought Pride & Prejudice cos I've watched the film once and I thought it was rather good.
When I was halfway browsing books, The Lord of the Rings medley by The Piano Guys played
in the background. I probably look like I've found my long lost soul mate and stood there doing nothing until the song ended.
How the little things make me happy :)
Currently I am desperately looking for 3 books! Normally big book stores have devices to let us search for books but Pyramid's Popular Bookstore doesnt. I have to browse through the racks one by one to find the books I want because the staff don't know what am I talking about. -.-
I am currently looking for
1) Rita Hayworth & Shawshank Redemption by Stephen King - the film is IMPRESSIVE I have to read the book to know what makes the director so determined to secure film rights before filming it a decade ago.
2) One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez - Read a book once and the fictional character inside loves this book. She reads it whenever she is sad. Sounds like a sad book. Read the plot and it doesn't sound very appealing to me though..but I'll give it a try
3) Mao : The Unknown Story by Jung Chang & Jon Halliday - Jung Chang's Wild Swan made a huge impact on my life and is one of my most favorite non-fiction book. I am very interested in everything about Mao Zedong and communism in China after reading the book. I wanna know more about Mao Zedong!
5) Little Lord Fauntleroy by Frances Hodgson Burnett
I've been looking for these books for a while now in local bookstores mainly Popular and MPH but to no avail. One Hundred Years of Solitude and Mao : The Unknown Story can be bought online through MPH but I don't usually buy things online..well unless they really don't sell it in bookstores. Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption is not available anywhere though!!! :(
I've searched online and whatever bookstores but I don't its available in Malaysia. Thats sad cos I am really interested in it.
I am really excited to start my reading journey! I have more or less 20 new books for me to read after my finals and I am really glad :)
